The good thing about insurance policies is that the insured is not obliged to the insurance company for better or worse of life. If he wishes to cancel an insurance policy, he may do so. It could be that such a person may find a better deal somewhere if he doesn’t like his current insurer’s customer service. 1. Cancellation by Policyholder

  • Within the Cooling-Off Period: If, for any reason, you decide to cancel your policy within the cooling-off period (usually 14 days from the date of purchase), you have the power to do so. This decision entitles you to a full refund of any premiums paid, provided no claims have been made.
  • After the Cooling-Off Period: You may cancel your policy any time by giving us written notice. The refund amount will be calculated pro rata, deducting applicable administrative fees.

2. Cancellation by Insurance Company

  • We reserve the right to cancel your policy under certain conditions, such as non-payment of premiums, providing false information, or breaching the terms of the policy. In such cases, we will provide you with written notice, and the refund amount will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Refund Process

1. Eligibility for Refunds

  • Refunds are only applicable if no claims have been made during the policy period.
  • The amount refunded will be calculated based on the unexpired term of the policy, less any applicable administrative fees.

2. How to Request a Refund

  • To request a refund, please contact our customer service team by phone, email, or through our online portal. Provide your policy number, contact details, and the reason for cancellation.
  • Once we receive your request, we will process it within 10 business days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise specified.

Exceptions to Refunds

1. Non-Refundable Policies

  • Some policies, such as short-term travel insurance or event-specific coverage, may be non-refundable. This will be clearly stated at the time of purchase.

2. Claims Made

  • If any claims have been made during the policy period, you will not be eligible for a refund.
